1. Integrated Action Learning Development Programs

We specialise in culturally and organisationally specific integrated action learning development programs. Three examples of program structures are listed below.

 

Integrated Management Development Program: This program generally encompasses the Diploma of Business qualification (BSB50215). It consists of multiple modules over a period of time (normally 12 months). The program enhances the management expertise and leader effectiveness of participants and in so doing acts as a catalyst for positive cultural change. The program provides contextually and culturally specific values based organisational development.

By completing the program, participants will develop practical workplace management skills that are benchmarked against international management competencies.

Participants will:

  • Develop, enhance and revise key management competencies in the following areas:
  1. Manage personal work priorities and professional development
  2. Provide leadership
  3. Facilitate continuous improvement
  4. Manage operational plan to enhance effectiveness
  5. Manage quality service delivery
  6. Ensure team effectiveness
  7. Manage people performance
  8. Ensure a safe workplace
  • Have the opportunity to reflect on current practices and work with peers to develop new strategies.
  • Undertake a significant workplace improvement project.
  • Receive a comprehensive set of reference materials, which will serve as a reference source for continuous improvement.
  • Improve individual personal productivity and enhance management expertise.
  • Achieve an internationally recognised qualification.

 

Executive Leadership Development Program:  This program is more strategic in nature than the Diploma of Business. However, it still acts as a catalyst for positive cultural change. The program provides contextually and culturally specific values based organisational development.

By completing the program, participants will develop strategic leadership and management skills that are benchmarked against international management competencies.

Participants will:

  • Develop, enhance and revise key strategic leadership competencies in the following areas:
  1. Provide leadership across the organisation
  2. Develop and implement strategic plans
  3. Develop and implement a business plan
  4. Financial decision making
  5. Human resources processes and practices
  6. Performance management systems
  7. Organisational change
  8. Innovation and continuous improvement
  • Have the opportunity to reflect on current practices and work with peers to develop new strategies.
  • Undertake a significant workplace improvement project.
  • Receive a comprehensive set of reference materials, which will serve as a reference source for continuous improvement.
  • Improve individual personal productivity and enhance management expertise.
  • Achieve an internationally recognised qualification.

 

Integrated Project Management Development Program: This is a specialist project management program designed to develop the overall skill and capability of project managers. It is normally undertaken with 3-6 modules over a 6-12 month period of time. Participants will:

  • Develop, enhance, revise and practice key project management competencies across all the PMBOK functions. These include:
  1. Introduction, application of project integrative processes
  2. Project scope
  3. Project time management
  4. Project costs and financial management
  5. Project quality management
  6. Project leadership, human resources management and communications.
  7. Project risk management
  8. Project procurement
  9. Project finalisation
  • Can be assessed for Australian Institute of Project Management accreditation.

Nationally Recognised Training

Motivate Training Pty Limited (ABN 48 050 728 213); trading as New England Management Development is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 91063) under the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA). As an adjunct to our programs we provide qualifications at Diploma and  Advanced Diploma level that can provide direct credit into qualifications at the University of New England (UNE).

NEMD conducts specialist programs in leadership, strategy, team building, management, supervision skills and presentation skills. Two popular programs are listed below.

 

Strategic Leadership

The missing link in strategic planning is leadership. Effective corporate strategy requires effective leadership. This exciting and innovative program focuses on the integration of strategic planning and leadership to achieve positive workplace outcomes.

Motivate Training Office

The program covers the fundamentals to successful strategy including the establishment of corporate direction, thinking strategically, internal and external analysis, scenario planning and strategic implementation.  Leadership is integrated into the process and a range of leadership models and approaches are explored.

This highly interactive workshop achieves its goals through the use of simulations, problem solving activities and case studies. Participants conclude the process by developing their own unique leadership plan.

 

Introduction to Project Management

This introductory program provides a foundation for understanding project management. Taught by our highly skilled project management training team the program provides the key foundations of project management.

During the workshop real projects are used to ensure maximum relevance. The depth of the topics covered is determined by organisational needs.  The program normally encompasses:

  • Project Definition, project planning and project control
  • Work Breakdown Structure
  • Critical path method
